How to connect Apollo.io to Claude (and any MCP client)
Updated Oct 28, 2026 · By Tyler Loud · Apollo.io tracker entry
Short version: Apollo has its own Claude connector, built on Apollo MCP. Apollo labels it beta. Each rep connects their own account. There's no admin install. Turn off model training in Claude before you connect, because Apollo requires it.
Before you start
- Any Claude plan works, including free.
- You need to sign in to Apollo with a work email. Gmail and Yahoo addresses aren't supported.
- Some actions, like enrichment, use Apollo credits. Your plan limits and permissions still apply.
- Turn off model training in your Claude account settings first. Apollo doesn't allow model training on Apollo MCP data.
Option A: the Claude connector (recommended)
- In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors.
- Search for
Apollo.ioand click Connect to Claude. - Review the terms and click Authorize.
- Go back to Connectors, select Apollo, and set permissions for each action: Always allow, Approval required or Blocked.
Apollo recommends Approval required for anything that uses credits. We'd add anything that sends email or enrolls contacts in sequences.
Option B: manual MCP (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, other clients)
Endpoint: https://mcp.apollo.io/mcp. It uses Streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.0, and you don't need an API key.
Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http apollo https://mcp.apollo.io/mcp
Then run /mcp inside Claude Code and finish the OAuth sign-in. In Claude Desktop, add a connector with the same URL.
What it can do
- Find prospects in plain language, including local businesses
- Enrich people and companies, and validate emails and phone numbers
- Create and update contacts, and draft and send one-off emails
- Create sequences, personalize steps, and add contacts to sequences
- Manage tasks and analyze team performance
Prompts to try first
- "Find VPs of Sales at US SaaS companies with 200 to 1,000 employees that use Salesforce. Don't enrich yet, just show me the list."
- "Enrich the top 5 and draft a 3-step sequence. Wait for my approval before you add anyone."
