How to connect Pipedrive to Claude and ChatGPT
Updated Oct 28, 2026 · By Tyler Loud · Pipedrive tracker entry
Short version: Pipedrive launched its own MCP server on June 30, 2026, and added it to Claude's official connector directory on August 18, 2026. In Claude it's one click. In ChatGPT, Pipedrive's KB has you paste the MCP URL in developer mode.
Before you start
- It works on every Pipedrive plan. Usage counts against your plan's token limits, and you can buy more tokens.
- You need permission to install apps in your Pipedrive account.
- For ChatGPT, Pipedrive says you need a Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu plan.
- The AI can only see and change what your Pipedrive user already can, and every action appears in Pipedrive's change log.
Claude (one click)
- Open Claude's connector directory and search for Pipedrive.
- Click Connect and approve access through Pipedrive's OAuth screen.
If you set up a manual connection before August 2026, Pipedrive says it was migrated automatically. To switch to the directory version, disconnect and reconnect from Claude's marketplace.
ChatGPT (developer mode)
- In ChatGPT, open Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
- Go to Plugins and click + to create a new plugin.
- Name it
Pipedrive MCPand set the Connection URL tohttps://mcp.pipedrive.ai/mcp. Click Create. - You'll be sent to Pipedrive. Review the permissions and click Allow and install.
- In a new chat, add the "Pipedrive MCP" plugin to the conversation before you ask anything.
What it can do
Find deals, contacts, organizations and activities. Create and update records, add notes, schedule follow-ups, and (since August 2026) get, create and update leads.
Prompts to try first
- "Show my deals in the Proposal stage with no activity scheduled."
- "Create a follow-up call activity for tomorrow on the Acme deal."
- "Turn these meeting notes into a note on the Acme deal and update the expected close date to Dec 15."
