Does connecting a sales tool mean my chats train the AI model?

Business plans: not by default. Anthropic says it doesn't use data from Claude for Work (Team and Enterprise) or its API to train models by default, unless an organization opts into its Development Partner Program. OpenAI says it doesn't train on data from ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, Edu or its API by default.

Personal plans depend on a setting. This includes paid plans like Claude Pro and Max and ChatGPT Plus and Pro. OpenAI says data sharing is on by default for ChatGPT Free, Plus and Pro, and you can turn it off in Data Controls. Anthropic says it uses consumer Claude chats (Free, Pro and Max) for training only if you allow it, and you can change that under Settings > Privacy. Check the setting and turn it off before you connect customer data.

Some sales tools insist on this. Apollo and ZoomInfo require model training to be off in your AI account before you connect (see their Apollo and ZoomInfo entries).
